Mark's Equipment List

Below are Mark's current kits which can use on any gig/show and can be re-configured for the setting or genera.

2006 Pearl Birch Master Custom

Great sounding 6 piece on the stage and in the studio. Toms are 10, 12, 14, 16 with a 22x18 Base. The kit is finished in a unique blue sparkle, painted-on finish that really pops under the lights. Mark will scale down the kit to a 5 or a 4 piece were required.

Note: the picture dosen't show the Pearl rack system Mark now uses with this set up.

2017 Stone Custom

Custom made kit from the master Bernie Stone. Designed and built to replicate a vintage 60's Slingerland kit. The used the original Slingerland molds to build the shells. The snare was made to my specific instructions. Great kit.

2006 DW Collectors Series

DW's flag ship, top of the line Collectors Series kit -- maple in White Marine Pearl. The picture shows a smaller set up with a 20x14" Bass. Mark often adds a 10" tom and changes to a 22x18 bass drum which is his typical gigging kit.

1980 Ludwig

Red Rocker seven piece Concert Tom monster kit. Mark splits up the kit for speical needs, using it as a three piece with the 24" bass or a real small set up using the 18 tom as a bass drum. He has done some recording with them too-- you can hear it on several of the "In The House" samples on the Media Page.

Roland V-drums w/ TD-20 Brain

Realistic sounding electronic kit. Mark uses these mostly for woodsheding (home practice) but they can be used for effects or full up gigging given proper staging. You can also hear them on some of the samples.

Pick a Snare!

Mark has several Snare drums that he uses depending on the genera, room, or type of gig. Some of his favorites are the Ludwig Superphonic (most recorded snare drum of all time) and the Pearl Steve Ferrone black over bronze (Black Beauty like) snare. Not pictured are a custom made DW 4x14 maple with amazing crack, a Blue sparkle Gretsch Brooklyn 4 1/2x 14 Maple with a warm ventage sound, and a Gretsch Maple 3 1/2 x 14 -- Piccolo like... (think David Garibaldi of Tower of Power).

But wait there's more...

Mark has a full set up of vocal and drum microphones consisting of an AKG - D112 (bass), Shure SM57 (snare), (4) Sennheiser-E604 Tom mics, and a Shure PG81 overhead. He uses a Beta-SM58 or a standard SM58 as vocal mic's.

Mark uses In-Ear monitor systems (Westone and Sensaphonics) and requires a 1/4 unbalanced line-in to feed his monitor mixer.

He has a Roland SPD-S sampler/auxiliary drum pad that is used on special occasions.

He also has just about every "hand-percussion" item attachable to a kit.
